This virtual Gallery assembly of three works from the Bearing Witness Collection puts their size into context. Together they are meant to convey, not only the historical parallel of two homeless families in Bethlehem - one Jewish and one Muslim, but also the relentless, unbearable and constantly increasing suffering brought on them by their oppressors. Humanity has learned little over the two millenia represented in the paintings.
